Welcome,
I’m Ashley!

I want to first and foremost express my gratitude for you finding my page and taking a step closer to achieving your goals! Looking for alternative ways to heal can be intimidating and a bit overwhelming. At Hometown Health and Wellness, I am passionate about giving you the tools to take charge of your own health, all while supporting you, being your cheerleader and taking the guesswork out of your journey. I know the power of food, not only because of the miracles I have witnessed over the last 8 years as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner but because it has healed me too.

“A healthy outside starts from within.”

A bit about me

My story goes back to college. Like most students, I was stressed with school work, staying up way too late, not eating a balanced diet and unhealthy drinking habits on the weekend. I was lethargic, bloated, moody and not myself. After college, I depended on multiple cups of coffee to get me through each work day in the cardiology department at a hospital. I knew my lifestyle was better than it was in college, but I still wasn’t feeling good. As a healthcare employee, I felt stuck. I wanted to help so many people but I couldn’t even help myself. It even felt hypocritical. I was then introduced to Dr. Dan of Dr. Dan’ Natural Healing Center. The man changed my world and within weeks of working there, I had no symptoms and I felt incredible! He taught me the power of food and how intelligent our bodies are.

My goal was always to work at Massachusetts General Hospital and soon enough, I accepted a job in the cardiology department. I felt on top of the world, I had my health and my dream job! I will never talk poorly about the healthcare system because we truly are so lucky to have such lifesaving technology at our fingertips. However, I quickly realized after working there, it wasn’t where I was supposed to be. I knew the power of food and correct supplementation, but respectfully, wasn’t allowed to voice that at the hospital. I seeked to find another practice like Dr. Dan’s after deciding to get certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. Fortunately for me, I did find that and built my career there. After 7 years of dedicating my passion, hard work and time, I decided to open my own practice, Hometown Health and Wellness.

Hometown Health and Wellness is not only special because it is my own, but because it is located in my hometown of North Reading. I can’t help but think of the symbolism here. My whole life I knew I wanted to be a part of healthcare and help people find the root cause of their symptoms. I am lucky to have found this path and it has also brought me back to my roots, in North Reading.
